The 260,000 sq. ft. facility is expected to streamline food distribution and cut carbon emissions.

UAE – Al Ain Farms Group (AAFG) and Food Tech Valley have signed an agreement to set up a logistics hub in Dubai spanning 260,000 square feet.
The announcement was made at the Future Food Forum 2025, an event held under the Ministry of Economy and Tourism.
According to the companies, the facility is being designed to improve food delivery times and efficiency while also reducing carbon emissions in line with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals.
Located in a strategic area, the site is projected to cut delivery distances, lower annual carbon dioxide emissions by around 2,500 tonnes, and reduce fleet-related emissions by up to 35 percent.
AAFG Chief Executive Hassan Safi said the project is intended to lift distribution efficiency by about 33 percent while also limiting waste and improving reliability.
He added that the partnership with Food Tech Valley represents a shift towards using local resources and expertise to build a more sustainable food supply system.
Construction on the facility is scheduled to start in late 2025 with completion expected in the first quarter of 2027.
The development is projected to create more than 100 jobs in logistics and operations, and will also include the use of advanced technologies.
Food Tech Valley Director Ahmed Al Shaibani said the deal supports the center’s mission to expand food infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, and prepare for future innovation in the sector.
The new logistics hub will be among the largest in the country dedicated to both raw materials and finished food products.
It will also support AAFG’s vertically integrated operations across dairy, poultry, eggs, and juices, tying into the National Food Security Strategy 2051 and the Net Zero 2050 agenda.
AAFG was formed by merging five UAE-based food producers, including Al Ain Farms, Marmum Dairy, Al Ajban Chicken, Al Jazira Poultry’s Golden Eggs, and Saha Arabian Farms.
The group is backed by Ghitha Holding PJSC and Yas Holding LLC, both investment firms headquartered in the UAE.
Food Tech Valley, launched in 2021 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, focuses on food technology, innovation, and sustainability, and is positioned as a hub for new agricultural solutions.
Both organizations said the Dubai facility will play a central role in shaping a more resilient food supply chain for the country.
