BGP opens new Egypt office to build stronger global supply links

The company strengthens its presence in North Africa as it aims for smoother farm to market flow.

EGYPT – BGP, a global supplier of fresh produce with farms and packhouses across several regions, has opened a new office in Egypt, marking a major step in its global growth and its goal to deliver dependable agricultural products to customers across the world.

Egypt country manager Ahmed Sayed said the new branch holds an essential role in the group’s wider network. “The new BGP Egypt branch will serve as a strategic hub connecting the company’s main farms, packhouses, and supply partners with customers worldwide. With Egypt’s strong agricultural output and year-round production capacity, the new office enhances BGP’s ability to ensure product quality, reliability, and timely delivery across all markets,” he said.

Sayed added that the office runs with a skilled team that focuses on key export tasks. “The Egypt office is supported by a highly skilled team specializing in logistics, documentation, quality management, and customer service. Their mission is to streamline operations, enforce international quality standards, and ensure transparent supply chain processes from farm to final destination.”

The local team manages sourcing from farms, quality checks, and export procedures. They also handle direct coordination with global logistics partners. “We will also be coordinating logistics with international partners to guarantee efficient and timely shipments and ensure all products meet stringent global quality and safety requirements. Maintaining close communication with customers and providing continuous support.”

This setup gives BGP a stronger link to clients in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania.

Future focus and recent progress in other regions

Sayed said the move fits with the company’s broader long term plan. “Establishing the Egypt office aligns with BGP’s long-term vision of sustainable growth, strategic market expansion, and strengthening its farm-to-market supply capabilities. This move brings the company closer to growers, better supports quality improvement initiatives, and ensures exceptional product consistency.”

BGP has also advanced projects in other supply regions as part of its growth plan. The company recently increased processing capacity in East Africa and expanded partnerships with growers in Southern Europe. These steps aim to steady year round supply and support customer needs across different seasons.

The new Egypt office now forms one of the key points in this wider expansion, giving BGP a stronger route from local farms to global buyers while keeping quality at the center of its work.
