CFAO Kenya opens Case IH showroom in Mombasa to boost farm mechanisation

New outlet in Mnazi Mmoja aims to improve access to tractors, parts and technical support for coastal farmers.

KENYA – CFAO Kenya has opened a new Case IH agricultural machinery showroom in Mnazi Mmoja, Mombasa, strengthening access to modern farm equipment in the coastal region.

Executives from CNH Industrial, CFAO Kenya and Mombasa County attended the launch, which marks a fresh push to support farmers with reliable machinery and after sales service.

Vincent DeLassange, Vice President of CNH Middle East and Africa, said Kenya remains one of Africa’s fastest growing farm markets.

“We are keen to build partnerships with Kenyan farmers and support the country’s agricultural transformation. We do this through world class technology, and continuous technical support,” he said.

CFAO Group Chairman and Country Delegate Ambassador Dennis Awori said the company believes strongly in Kenya’s farm sector and Mombasa’s role as a trade hub.

“CFAO Group’s investment in this facility demonstrates our long term commitment to supporting Kenya’s farmers with the technology and services they need to compete globally. We believe that agricultural mechanisation is fundamental to achieving food security, creating employment, and driving rural prosperity across this nation,” Awori said.

Mombasa Deputy Governor Francis Thoya welcomed the investment and said it will create jobs while helping farmers raise output.

“This is a testament of our resolve to ensure that key partnerships prioritise our local farmers. We thank CFAO Kenya for their solid investment in the sector,” he said.

Wide range of tractors

The showroom will stock tractors ranging from 55 to 700 horsepower. The compact JXT series, which offers 35 to 75 horsepower, targets small farms, orchards and greenhouse operations. The FARMALL JXM and JX Straddle series, with 80 to 98 horsepower, suit row crop farmers. Larger farms can opt for the Maxxum series with 110 to 140 horsepower or the Puma series with 155 to 185 horsepower.

All models come with fuel efficient engines, safety features and support from trained technicians. The outlet will also supply ploughs, disc harrows, boom sprayers and planters.

This follows a recent development in West Africa, where Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, recently handed out tractors to farmers under the Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes supported by the World Bank. Each of 40 tractors went to local councils to help with planting and soil work.

“Today, I supervised the distribution of 40 newly procured tractors alongside other heavy duty equipment,” Mohammed said. “This initiative reflects my administration’s strong commitment to agricultural improvement and environmental protection.”

ACReSAL also gave 9 heavy machinery units and 100 motorcycles to local officers to support farming programmes across the state and reached all 20 local areas.
