Ten products and technologies will compete for top honours at Fruit Logistica 2026 as organisers confirm the shortlisted entries.

GERMANY – The organisers of Fruit Logistica have named the finalists for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Awards 2026, highlighting ten new products and systems set to compete across Fresh Produce and Technology categories.
Messe Berlin confirmed the nominees on 7 January 2026, ahead of the trade fair in Berlin next month. The winners will be announced on Friday 6 February 2026 at 1pm in the foyer between Halls 1.1 and 2.1, following a public vote during the first two days of the event.
Fresh produce finalists
The Fresh Produce category focuses on new fruit and vegetable varieties entering the market. Among the finalists are Boombites Red Berry Grapes from Bloom Fresh, developed with global table grape growers after more than a decade of work. The grapes contain polyphenols, compounds linked to antioxidant and anti inflammatory benefits.
German breeder Züchtungsinitiative Niederelbe earned a nomination for Pompur, an apple developed for people with allergies. It is the first apple brand certified by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation.
Other finalists include Popits snack cucumbers from Harmoniz and Mastronardi Produce, Sapori mini cherry tomatoes from Wim Peters Kwekerijen in the Netherlands, and Tribelli Seedless mini peppers from Enza Zaden. These products focus on taste, consistency, ease of use, and reduced waste for growers and retailers.
Technology category highlights
The Technology category recognises systems that support efficiency and sustainability in the fruit trade. Trapview’s Aura SC uses UV light, artificial intelligence, and automated cleaning to monitor pests in real time and deliver forecasts through a mobile app, helping growers cut labour needs and insecticide use.
Compack received a nomination for circular cellulose packaging made from mushroom growing waste. The plastic free boxes are compostable, recyclable, and meet current EU packaging rules while using less paper than standard fibre packs.
Other finalists include TTA ISO’s High Speed Grafter for automated plant grafting, ABZ Innovation’s L50 LiDAR based spraying drone, and Voltiris’ solar filtering system for greenhouses that supports plant growth while generating renewable electricity.
Industry view and next steps
Messe Berlin said the shortlisted entries reflect how the sector responds to change. “The international fruit trade is undergoing decisive changes, and the industry itself is providing the answers to these challenges through innovation,” the organiser stated.
It added that “products and technologies that add value, inspire consumers and transform the way value is created are coming into focus.”
Messe Berlin also noted the role of the awards over time, saying, “For twenty years, the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award has set standards in this area, establishing itself as a reliable indicator of forward looking developments.”
Visitors to Fruit Logistica will vote for their preferred innovation during the first two days of the fair, with the results set to signal where the fruit trade may head next.
