Startupbootcamp opens agritech accelerator to boost innovation in food systems

Applications are now open for the 2026 Food and Agritech Accelerator Programme supporting early to growth-stage startups in agriculture and food innovation.

GLOBAL – Startupbootcamp has launched its 2026 Food and Agritech Accelerator Programme to support startups shaping the future of agriculture and food production.

The initiative aims to help entrepreneurs refine their ideas, attract investors, and expand into international markets.

The programme targets startups that have moved past the prototype stage and already tested their products in the market. It focuses on ventures tackling major issues in agriculture, supply chains, and food sustainability, especially those using technology to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Selected startups will receive €25,000 (approximately US$26,750) in equity funding, mentorship, and access to a “deal kit” valued at over €100,000 (US$107,000) from programme partners. The three-month accelerator also connects participants to a global network of investors, industry experts, and agritech innovators.

“The goal is to help promising startups grow faster and create lasting impact across food systems,” said a Startupbootcamp representative. “We’re looking for teams that are ready to move from small pilots to large-scale commercial operations.”

The accelerator welcomes startups that are already generating early revenue or testing their models in food production, agritech infrastructure, or supply chain management. The programme prioritises ventures with a clear path to scale and compete internationally.

Participants will receive tailored mentorship, guidance on business strategy, and investor exposure to support their next growth phase. “We want to give founders the right mix of funding, coaching, and market access to strengthen their businesses,” the representative added.

Applications are open until Sunday, 7 December 2025, through the Startupbootcamp online portal.

Growing investor interest in Agritech innovation

The announcement comes as investor attention in agritech continues to rise globally. A growing number of early-stage ventures are focusing on food waste reduction, precision farming, and sustainable packaging.

Recent developments also show strong regional interest. In October 2025, several African startups joined global accelerators to access technical support and capital. “The expansion of accelerator programmes into Africa reflects both the potential and ambition of local entrepreneurs,” said Kehinde Giwa, an agritech analyst. “It’s a clear sign that innovation in food systems is gaining momentum across emerging markets.”

By offering financial backing and expert mentorship, Startupbootcamp aims to create a stronger pipeline of agritech innovators ready to address real-world challenges in food production and sustainability.

Applications for the 2026 Food and Agritech Accelerator Programme are now open through the Startupbootcamp portal until December 7, 2025.
