The new FFB series is designed to deliver strength, traction, and efficiency for forestry forwarders and harvesters.

GLOBAL – Ascenso Tyres, one of the fastest-growing off-highway tyre brands, has announced the launch of its new high-performance models for forestry forwarders and harvesters, marking a deeper move into the global forestry tyre market.
The FFB 840, FFB 841, and FFB 843 are built to meet the demands of modern forestry operations, which often operate in some of the toughest terrain conditions.
The tyres feature a steel-belted bias construction and a protective compound developed to handle sharp debris, heavy loads, and constant movement over uneven ground.
According to Ascenso, the design offers puncture resistance, reinforced sidewall protection, and longer service life. An aggressive tread pattern with optimised lug spacing helps improve traction, stability, and self-cleaning when operating in muddy or debris-filled areas.
“Forestry is one of the toughest applications for tyres,” said Dhaval Nanavati, CEO of Ascenso Tyres. “With the FFB series, we are combining durability and innovation to meet the specific challenges of the forestry segment. This launch reinforces our commitment to offering application-specific solutions across the entire off-highway industry.”
The new tyres are compatible with bogie tracks and chains, making them suitable for mechanised timber handling. This compatibility ensures they can perform consistently in both soft and rocky terrains.
The company said these products will initially be available in popular forwarder and harvester sizes, targeting markets in North America, Europe, and Latin America.
Ascenso continues to invest in research and development, with manufacturing operations in India supporting its growth in specialty segments such as agriculture, industrial and construction, earthmoving, material handling, and now forestry.
The company aims to address customer needs in each sector by producing tyres designed for specific operational demands.
Competitive moves in the Forestry Tyre Market
The forestry tyre segment is seeing increased competition, with global brands introducing products tailored for extreme conditions. In May 2025, Michelin launched its X ForestGrip line for forwarders and harvesters.
The tyres feature a reinforced bead and sidewall for challenging terrain, a self-cleaning tread for muddy and debris-filled environments, and compatibility with bogie tracks and chains.
Michelin also emphasised sustainability, noting that the tyres are made with 45 percent sustainable materials, including recovered carbon black.
The X ForestGrip range will focus on regions such as Scandinavia, Canada, and the Alpine areas, where forestry operations face severe weather and terrain challenges.
Both Ascenso and Michelin are expanding their presence in forestry at a time when operators are seeking stronger, more efficient equipment to maintain productivity and reduce downtime.
By combining durability with performance-focused designs, these companies aim to meet the increasing demand for tyres that can withstand the pressures of intensive forestry work while supporting operational efficiency.
