Ecorobotix secures US$150M to expand AI-Based precision spraying technology

The Swiss agtech firm will use the investment to speed up the global rollout of its Plant-by-Plant™ system ahead of its new product reveal at Agritechnica 2025.

SWITZERLAND – Swiss agricultural technology company Ecorobotix has secured $150 million in fresh funding to speed up the global rollout of its AI-based Plant-by-Plant™ spraying system.

The system helps farmers treat each plant with high precision, reducing pesticide use while maintaining healthy yields.

The investment comes from the company’s Series C (US$45 million in 2024) and Series D (US$105 million in 2025) rounds. The funds will support Ecorobotix’s next product reveal at Agritechnica 2025, set to take place in Hanover, Germany, this November.

According to the company, the technology can identify and treat plants individually with a spray footprint just a few centimetres wide. This allows farmers to cut pesticide use by up to 95 percent, saving costs and reducing environmental impact.

“Our goal is to make farming more efficient, sustainable, and profitable,” said Dominique Mégret, CEO of Ecorobotix. “These new investments enable us to scale faster, expand into new crop types, and bring more of our advanced algorithms to market. Thanks to our investors’ trust, we are one step closer to ensuring better-quality food for the world.”

Growing demand for precision agriculture

The Series D round was led by Highland Europe, with participation from the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF) and McWin Capital Partners. Ecorobotix says demand for precision agriculture continues to rise as farmers face high input costs, labour shortages, and stricter environmental standards.

Ecorobotix’s flagship sprayer, ARA, supports more than 25 crop algorithms and is already in use across over 20 countries in Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. By focusing on treating each plant individually, the ARA system helps reduce waste while maintaining strong yields.

Next Stop: Agritechnica 2025

At Agritechnica 2025, the company will present what it calls a major step forward in precision crop care. The event, one of the world’s largest agricultural exhibitions, will give Ecorobotix a global stage to showcase its upcoming product.

Founded in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, Ecorobotix has become one of the leading players in smart and sustainable farming solutions. Its precision spraying system is already helping farmers adapt to environmental regulations while staying competitive.

As the agricultural industry looks for more efficient and eco-friendly ways to manage crops, Ecorobotix’s new funding round signals strong confidence in technology-driven solutions that improve productivity and protect the environment.
