The company also previews its new Experience Hub at Agritechnica 2025, setting a new standard for irrigation performance and research.

AUSTRIA – Komet Irrigation has introduced the Komet Precision Wave (KPW), a new generation of pivot sprinklers designed to improve water distribution and overall irrigation efficiency.
The company, known for its sprinkler technology since 1952, will feature the KPW as a highlight of its exhibit at Agritechnica 2025. Visitors will also get a first look at the Komet Experience Hub, a modern research and testing center dedicated to irrigation technology.
Uneven water distribution remains one of the biggest challenges in pivot irrigation, especially at the outer ends of pivots. The new KPW model solves this issue through its oscillating deflector, which creates a steady droplet pattern.
This allows water to reach plants evenly across the entire pivot radius, promoting stronger plant growth, higher yields, and better water-use efficiency.
“Uniform irrigation is one of the biggest drivers of yield and efficiency,” said Andree Groos, CEO of Komet Irrigation. “The KPW gives farmers peace of mind that every plant, from the center to the outer edge, gets the water it needs, consistently and efficiently. It’s the kind of innovation that helps our customers grow more with less.”
Built at Komet’s factory in Lienz, Austria, the KPW reflects decades of precision engineering and close collaboration with farmers. The product fits a wide range of pivot systems and operates under different field conditions, making it suitable for diverse agricultural environments.
Experience hub: A step forward in irrigation research
Alongside the product launch, Komet also previewed the Komet Experience Hub, a 1,000-square-meter research facility that combines automated testing with smart monitoring and real-world simulation. The center allows experts to study how wind, evaporation, and droplet behavior affect sprinkler performance.
“For the first time, farmers can see exactly how sprinklers and regulators perform under controlled yet realistic conditions,” added Groos. “The Experience Hub represents our commitment to transparency, precision, and progress in irrigation design.”
Visitors to Agritechnica will have the chance to explore the new technology firsthand at Komet’s booth. The company will also run a competition during the event, with prizes such as a guided tour of its Austrian manufacturing facility.
In addition to the KPW and Experience Hub, Komet has confirmed ongoing research collaborations with regional irrigation partners to adapt its technologies for small and medium-sized farms.
The company aims to make efficient irrigation accessible to more farmers worldwide while continuing to uphold its legacy of reliable engineering.
Farmers and industry professionals attending Agritechnica 2025 can visit Komet in Hall 9, Booth A09, to experience the KPW and learn more about the future of precision irrigation.
