Mahindra rolls out precision hydraulics in Rajasthan to boost tractor productivity

The mLIFT system will now be available in locally-made tractors ahead of the Kharif season.

INDIA – Mahindra Tractors has introduced its advanced mLIFT Precision Hydraulics system in Rajasthan through its tractor manufacturing plant in Jaipur.

The rollout began in early July and aims to support farmers with more efficient tractors ahead of the Kharif season.

The mLIFT system will be featured in the Mahindra 275 DI XP Plus, 475 DI MS XP Plus, and 575 DI XP Plus tractors. These tractors are produced at the Jaipur facility, the only tractor manufacturing plant in Rajasthan. They are designed specifically for the state’s demanding soil and climate conditions.

“Farmers in Rajasthan work long hours in challenging field conditions,” said a Mahindra spokesperson. “Our mLIFT hydraulic system is built to meet these demands with accuracy, power, and ease of use.”

The mLIFT hydraulic system includes load-sensing technology, variable displacement pumps, and electronic controls. These features help the tractor maintain smooth and accurate lifting, even with heavy or uneven loads.

Mahindra has also included PC DC controls (Pressure Compensation and Directional Control), allowing easier handling of soil penetration and power output.

The tractors with the mLIFT system are compatible with a variety of tools used in land preparation and seedbed formation. With uniform depth control and quicker turnaround time, Mahindra expects better results this Kharif season.

Each tractor model comes with its own strengths. The Mahindra 275 DI XP Plus uses a 3-cylinder engine with 152 Nm torque and offers high fuel efficiency. The Mahindra 475 DI MS XP Plus features a powerful 4-cylinder engine, dual-acting steering, and strong gearshift performance.

The Mahindra 575 DI XP Plus is designed for heavy-duty work, delivering 207 Nm of torque with a 1500 kg lift capacity. All three models use wet air cleaners with pre-air filters, ideal for the state’s dusty conditions.

Each tractor also includes Mahindra’s YCV option, allowing operators to manage the PTO (power take-off) speed to match the task at hand. “We focused on designing tractors that last, especially in haulage work,” the spokesperson said. “Farmers in Rajasthan need reliable machines they can count on daily.”

Located on the Jaipur Kishangarh Expressway, the Mahindra plant began operations in 2002. It employs over 700 people and has an annual production capacity of 54,000 tractors.

The facility handles full assembly, including transmissions and painting, and produces 40 variants of tractors between 15 and 50 hp. Since opening, the plant has produced more than 3.5 lakh tractors.

Besides Jaipur, Mahindra operates other tractor production plants in Mumbai, Nagpur, Zaheerabad, and Rudrapur.
