Mauricio Andrião appointed Vice President of BRANDT International

Andrião steps into his role at a time when BRANDT Agriculture & Crop Solutions is expanding its research, sustainability, and global engagement.

USA – BRANDT has appointed Mauricio Andrião as Vice President of BRANDT International, effective September 1.

In his new role, he will oversee the company’s business outside the U.S. and Canada and chair the newly formed International Board of Managers.

Andrião will succeed Ramon Georgis, who will retire on December 31, 2025. The two leaders will work closely over the coming months to ensure a smooth handover.

Rick Brandt, President and CEO of BRANDT, said the company is entering a period of strong leadership continuity.

“BRANDT has been working and selling products internationally for more than 30 years and I think Mauricio will provide the business with a real shot in the arm in terms of leadership, accountability and focus,” said Brandt.

“That’s to take nothing away from Ramon. Ramon has worked and traveled tirelessly to build our brand, lay the foundation for our business and recruit a talented global team. We wouldn’t be where we are today without Ramon. I sincerely thank him for his service.”

In his new position, Andrião will direct growth and help restructure BRANDT International’s operations into defined regions while maintaining the “Team BRANDT culture.” BRANDT products currently reach more than 85 countries, with manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Spain and South Africa.

“With an impressive background and a previous business transformation under his belt, Mauricio has proven that he can run complex operations and a positive P&L. My vision is to leverage his entrepreneurial skills to bring energy to our increasingly important international markets,” Brandt added.

Broader company developments

Andrião steps into his role at a time when BRANDT Agriculture & Crop Solutions is expanding its research, sustainability, and global engagement.

At the Evelyn Brandt Thomas Ag Innovation Center, the company has advanced foliar nutrition trials on corn and soybeans, focusing on timing and micronutrient blends to maximize yields.

BRANDT has also introduced new biostimulants, including BRANDT EnzUp® and Smart Trio®, tested under different planting densities and stress conditions.

In Europe, the company launched InVigo, a glutathione-based antioxidant solution that helps crops manage drought, frost and salinity stress.

At the InfoAgro Exhibition 2025, BRANDT received the Plant Nutrition Award, recognizing its leadership in sustainable crop efficiency.

On the global stage, BRANDT participated in Growtech 2023 in Antalya, Turkey, one of the world’s leading agri-tech shows.

The company also hosted the II BRANDT Technical Workshops, which focused on climate resilience strategies, adaptive fertilization and water-use efficiency.

A global career in agriculture

Andrião brings nearly two decades of experience in biologicals and specialty fertilizers, most recently at Stoller, now part of Corteva. His career has taken him from Brazil to South Africa and later to Spain, where he managed regional and continental businesses.

“BRANDT has all the components to be a defining global business: A strong team, unique products, deep relationships, and world-class production. My goal is to help bring it all together and build on this foundation,” Andrião said.

“In some ways, this role seems custom-made for me, as my strengths align with BRANDT’s key markets.”

Rick Brandt emphasized that the appointment reflects the company’s plan for long-term growth. “We continue to onboard the next generation of leaders at BRANDT. With my daughter, Sierra-Shae, already on the Executive Team, we’re focused on building a deep bench by recruiting and retaining the key managers who will be here for the long term. Mauricio extends that strategy to our international business.”

Andrião, who holds both Brazilian and Spanish citizenship, will continue to live in Elche, Spain, while also working from BRANDT’s global headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
