Company introduces India’s first sub-50 HP cabin tractor for farmers

INDIA – Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd., a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and the Government of Gujarat, has rolled out eight new tractors in both 2WD and 4WD categories.
The launch includes India’s first factory-fitted cabin tractor in the under 50 HP segment, a development aimed at meeting a wide range of farming needs.
The new tractors feature powerful fuel-efficient diesel engines and advanced gearbox technology. They are designed for tasks such as orchard farming, areca-nut cultivation, inter-cultivation, puddling, and haulage.
The Trakstar Kavach series leads the launch with India’s first factory-fitted cabin tractor in the sub-50 HP category. According to the company, the cabin offers farmers a safe, comfortable, and weather-resistant workspace. The first phase will bring a non-air-conditioned option, with an air-conditioned version to follow.
Veejay Nakra, President of Farm Equipment Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “At Gromax, our mission is to drive Maximum Growth by delivering reliable products that meet the evolving needs of Indian agriculture and we’re proud to unveil eight new tractors in a single day, each backed by world-class technology and designed to empower farmers with year-round productivity. With the launch of India’s first sub-50 HP factory-fitted cabin tractor, Gromax continues to serve a growing customer base seeking the ideal balance of value, performance, and affordability. Coinciding with the festive period, the new tractors will be available at Gromax dealerships starting October 2025.”
The tractors will reach dealerships across states including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
As part of the festive season, Gromax dealers are introducing an exclusive consumer scheme along with an assured gift for each tractor purchase.
The company also launched its second digital video commercial under the Sabse Sahi Chunaav campaign, reinforcing Gromax products as affordable and dependable choices for farmers. The campaign highlights the focus on performance, productivity, and profitability.
Commitment to farmers
Gromax positions itself as an agri-equipment entity focused on affordable mechanisation solutions. The company believes that Indian farmers can only achieve meaningful growth when their inputs generate maximum returns. Its Trakstar tractors and Trakmate farm implements reflect this goal.
The tractors are manufactured at the company’s 55-acre facility in Vadodara, Gujarat, which houses both production and in-house testing units.
With this launch, Gromax strengthens its portfolio in a competitive market while offering Indian farmers more options suited to different crops and regional conditions.
As Nakra explained, the timing ahead of the festive season is expected to drive strong demand while giving farmers new tools to improve their productivity.
