Mahindra’s ARJUN tractor series marks 25 years of service to Indian farmers

The tractor series now comes with a standard 6-year warranty as Mahindra expands its offerings.

INDIA – Mahindra Tractors is celebrating a major milestone as its ARJUN series completes 25 years of service to farmers across India.

Known for its strength, reliability, and comfort, the ARJUN series has remained a trusted name since its launch in 2000.

The ARJUN series began with three horsepower variants and has grown to include models that meet both farming and haulage demands.

Mahindra has continuously upgraded the series to stay compliant with emission standards such as TREM III and TREM IV. Today, the tractors come in both 2WD and 4WD options, with power ratings of up to 60 HP.

Engines powered by Mahindra’s mDI and CRDe 4-cylinder technologies deliver fuel efficiency and durability, making the tractors suitable for both small farms and large-scale operations.

The constant mesh transmission, dual clutch system, and advanced hydraulics help farmers manage land preparation, paddy puddling, deep tillage, sugarcane haulage, and harvesting with ease.

Speaking at the anniversary event, Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business, said, “We take immense pride in the Mahindra Tractor’s ARJUN series, a name that has earned the trust of over 2.5 lakh farmers across India. Built with Mahindra’s legendary toughness, the Mahindra ARJUN series has been a reliable partner in both farming and haulage for 25 years. Whether in the wheat fields of Punjab, the cotton belts of Maharashtra, or the rice paddy fields of Tamil Nadu, the Mahindra ARJUN series continues to power prosperity across India’s diverse farmlands.”

The ARJUN series today includes five models designed for varied needs, from first-generation farmers moving into mechanization to large landowners and transport operators.

Farmers can buy the tractors through Mahindra’s wide dealer network, with support from Mahindra Finance through attractive credit plans.

To mark the 25-year milestone, Mahindra has announced a standard 6-year warranty across the ARJUN series, giving farmers more assurance and long-term value.

Expanding beyond tractors

Mahindra’s presence in agriculture is not limited to tractors. The company also manufactures a wide range of farm machinery and has built a global footprint across more than 50 countries.

In March 2024, Mahindra became the first Indian tractor company to sell 4 million tractors worldwide.

Adding to its innovations, Mahindra recently introduced a ride-on electric toy tractor for children. Modeled after the NOVO series, this scale replica encourages young users to learn about farming through play. The toy tractor comes with dashboard controls, Bluetooth music features, and remote-control operation for parental supervision.

It is priced at ₹24,999 (US$283.54) and is available both online and at Mahindra dealerships across India.

With the ARJUN series celebrating 25 years and the company branching into products that inspire future generations, Mahindra continues to strengthen its role in shaping farming across India and beyond.
