Handpickd launches new dairy range, introduces dual-view app

Handpickd adds fresh dairy items and updates its app to give users more choice and ease.

INDIA – Handpickd has taken a major step in India’s fresh food market by moving into the dairy category, adding new products and a broader digital experience as the company continues to grow its reach among households that want clean, safe, and natural food.

This step follows its recent Series A funding round of US$15 million in September 2025. The company continues to grow fast as more households look for clean and safe food.

Handpickd built its name on a zero-stock model that cuts out long storage periods. The team sources food directly from farmers and sends it straight to customers. This approach helps the company keep close control over quality.

Many Indian consumers worry about purity in the dairy market, and Handpickd wants to answer these concerns with consistent freshness.

Founder and CEO Anant Goel said, “The decision to enter dairy is not merely about portfolio expansion but is a strategic move to build trust in a category defined by suspicion. Dairy is a staple that needs to be clean, safe, and preservative-free. Our zero-stock, highly transparent supply chain is designed to control every step from sourcing to delivery, ensuring that our products reach the customer pure and untouched. This is about giving the users access to the purity they deserve.”

A new dual-view app for better shopping

Along with the dairy launch, Handpickd introduced an updated version of its app. The platform now offers two browsing styles: Spiral View and Grid View. The Spiral View gives users a feel similar to choosing items in a local market, showing varieties in a flowing pop-out style. The Grid View supports older users or those who prefer a simple layout.

Goel said, “Our technology is built to break down barriers, not create them. The new Dual-View interface means every user, from tech-savvy millennials to older generations, can experience our platform in the way they find most intuitive. Whether through the immersive Spiral View or the familiar, easy-to-browse Grid View, our goal is to consistently digitize the experience of buying ‘achchi waali phal-sabzi’ that customers trust from the traditional mandi.”

Handpickd continues to stock a wide range of fresh produce. Customers can choose from up to sixteen types of microgreens, as well as many varieties of potatoes and brinjals. The company has also grown its ready-to-eat selection with spreads, dips, and dressings.

Users can request specific ripeness levels for fruits like papaya, allowing them to buy items that match their personal needs.

Anant Goel, Nitin Gupta, and Sahil Madan founded Handpickd in April 2024. The platform now serves homes in Gurgaon, Noida, and Bangalore. Handpickd delivers pesticide-free and plastic-free produce, all sourced directly from farmers.

Its model avoids forecasting, warehousing, and inventory holding, helping the company cut waste while keeping strong quality and sustainability standards.
